Holy Trinity

Celebrating 100 years

The Trinity is more than a mysterious formula of complicated theology. The believer experiences the Trinity through the life given by the Father and shared in Christ with the communion of the Holy Spirit. We know the Trinity through grace, love and community more than we do by way of abstraction.

God slowly revealed his inner life to humankind. In the Old Testament his unity is stressed; in the New, his three-personhood. He is finally revealed as not only our Lord, but our very Father, "Abba!"

Our holiness is the gift of God shared with us in baptism. Through it we are children of the Father; Christ is our brother; we now live by their Spirit. Mysterious as the holy Trinity is, the mystery is full of comfort and challenge.

In the Eucharist we praise the Father, through the Son, with the Spirit. Our prayer of petition is not addressed in solitude, but together with Christ, our brother.

The Mystery of the Holy Trinity is the one true God in three Persons the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We should adore the Blessed Trinity when we pray to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Who lives in our soul by grace.
